Printemps opens its first American store in New York

The next chapter in the transformation of its brand, this Printemps store will be on a different scale, bringing a local approach and focusing on increased omnichannel and seamless experiences.

Printemps has tapped veteran executive Laura Lendrum as CEO of Printemps America, Inc. Lendrum brings valuable experience from her previous roles as president of Saint Laurent, Gucci and Ralph Lauren for the North American market and brings together a dedicated and experienced team to support this strategic initiative.

“Laura’s background in luxury, fashion, digital and hospitality is a perfect match for us,” says Bellaiche.

As he did in Paris More than 150 years ago, by opening boulevard Haussmann, a district then in flux, Printemps chose the iconic One Wall Street address in the Financial District. The already vibrant neighborhood has become more residential, has seen an increase in various businesses moving into the neighborhood, and is one of the city’s premier tourist destinations, welcoming both local and international tourists.

As an iconic building, One Wall Street bears a similar heritage to the equally iconic Printemps Paris flagship, making it the prime location for the first US and New York shop. The historic interior red roomone of the few 50 indoor monuments in New York City, will be one of the many highlights of the store. Multi-award winning Parisian interior designer, Laura Gonzalezwill be the architect of the project to create a ‘Paris meets New York‘ twist on the design.

Le Printemps will be 54,365 square feet with two levels and a facade that measures 346 linear feet facing Broadway. The store is expected to open in the spring of 2024.
