Dawson Tire & Wheel reopens retail store in Gothenburg | New

Dawson Tire & Wheel is delighted to announce that it is back in retail in Gothenburg, and the company will be celebrating with an open day on Thursday September 1st.

Dakota Klingsporn is the marketing coordinator for Dawson Tire & Wheel. He is relatively new to the business, having joined the company about a month ago. Regen Lux is responsible for e-commerce marketing and has been with the company for just over a year. The two shared their excitement about being part of the family business and the growth that is taking place within the organization.

“Dawson Tire & Wheel opened in 1998 as a small tire shop in Gothenburg by Eric MacPherson. They’ve really grown over the last 24 years,” Lux explained. back in about 2012 when they decided to really focus on the farming community and sell tires to agricultural dealers across the country.Over the past year, we’ve really heard from customers telling us that they want we come back and that we can service their vehicles and not just the equipment on their farms And after listening to those customers, we’ve now opened two outlets in Nebraska, really focusing on being able to serve our customers from their car to their combine harvester.

Headquartered in Gothenburg, Dawson Tire & Wheel also has an office in Holly, Michigan, located just outside of Detroit, which primarily sells agricultural tires. In February of this year, the company opened an outlet in North Platte which focuses more on tires and maintenance for passenger cars and light trucks. This workshop offers oil changes and light mechanical work.

“When we had the chance to return to Gothenburg with the company’s passenger vehicle segment, we were very excited about the opportunity,” explained Lux. “We partner with many people across the country – Dawson County is exactly where we call home.”

While Lux is responsible for the company’s marketing strategies, Klingsporn’s work is on the retail side of the business. “We’re really excited about the growth we’ve had, so we wanted someone who can focus on local communities, so we’re excited about the addition of Dakota who can highlight the local communities we’re in. let’s find,” Lux added. “He can shine a light on what’s going on in Gothenburg and the people, or the people and things going on in North Platte.”

Lux said the company has seen strong growth in the past year alone, having recently hired its 60th employee. Many employees have been with the company for 10 years or more.

“Our new location in Gothenburg at 402 8th Street is the main concept of our North Platte location. We really try to get into those mechanical services like oil changes, suspension work and anything tire related. We’re trying to stay on the retail side with the vehicles while still being very active on the farm side as well,” Klingsporn said.

“Community service is a huge thing for us at both of our outlets,” Lux added.

Jim Bebensee has joined the Gothenburg store team as manager. At this location you will also find Logan Cashman, Zach McConnell, Steve Richards and Rey Perez Jr. The new location began serving customers in August and will host their official ribbon cutting with the Chamber of Commerce and an open house on August 1. september.

The open house will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and guests are invited to enjoy beef brisket, baked beans and fries. Tropical Snow will also be available. “We will also have fun activities and giveaways,” Lux said. “We will give away a set of tires and every 24 minutes we will give away an oil change to celebrate our 24 years in business.”
